Locating the Source

It takes a bit of detective work to determine what a source is and where you can find it. This guide is designed to answer the frequently asked questions about finding and retrieving information.

The following is the 1, 2, 3 of what you need to know to get materials at the Research Center!

Step 1: Search the Library

Circulation Basics

If the book is listed as "Remote Storage" you need to request it by filling out a form.

Step 2: Check UBorrow

If it isn't in the catalog, check !

UBorrow is a collection of library materials available within the State University Catalog. You request materials using your FSU library account number within your system, and recieve an email when they are ready to be picked up in the research center.

Search the UBorrow Catalog

Step 3: Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (or ILL) is the last step in your hunt for materials!

Use ILL to request items not available at the Research Center, Strozier, Dirac Science, the FSU medical library, or through UBorrow. See the "Interlibrary Loan" tab on what you need to do to make a request.
