What is gambling?

Gambling is "the act of risking something of value, especially money, for a chance to win a prize."

Gambling is regulated by state and federal law.

State Gambling Laws

Each state detrmines what kind of gambling it allows within its borders, where the gambling can be located, and who may gamble. To locate current state information pertaining to gambling, refer to the American Gaming Association's "State of the States" Survey of Casino Entertainment which is released annually each May.
