All law students are welcome to virtually attend any of the following workshops. Each online presentation becomes available every Monday in the Research Center's Canvas page.  We suggest everyone wishing to attend to register so we can easily contact you with information about the workshops.

Remote Viewing Information

The research workshops below are  pre-recorded 30-minutes sessions and will be available for viewing each Monday morning at 8am from the Research Center Organization page in Canvas. Register by clicking the workshops below.  To receive credit for the research certificate program, students must (1) watch the presentation in its entirety, and (2) complete a short quiz. Quizzes must be completed by due date (within one week after the video is posted).

Available week of SEPT 6  LEARNING (AND RELEARNING LEXIS+)

Instructor DYLAN DUNN

Learn the finer points of researching on Lexis by using tools like Boolean operators, proximity searching, and wildcards. We'll also touch on what has and hasn't changed in the recent update to Lexis+. Learn how to expand your research from one good case to find other relevant resources. This workshop is great for those students writing an open memo or students who will be working as a law clerk and want to learn efficient case law research techniques.  Credit for both Advanced Searching Techniques and Practice-Ready certificates.
