Welcome to the How to Find: United States Supreme Court Cases LibGuide. This guide explains how to find the full texts of Supreme Court decisions both in print and on the internet. FSU students can benefit from their access to an extensive collection of subscription internet databases. Nonetheless, anyone with access to the internet or a law library can read the entirety of historical Supreme Court decisions.
This guide is divided into three sections: Home, Internet Sources, and Print Sources. Internet Sources provides source links for Supreme Court opinions and information about the Court, both current and historical. Information under the Print Sources tab will explain how to find decisions in a law library with either the citation or party names.
Supreme Court decisions are rich texts that changed history and set precedents for every other court in the United States. I hope this LibGuide assists you in your research.
