What is the Atlanta Research Data Center (ARDC)?
The ARDC is a Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC), a secure lab where researchers can access confidential, otherwise unavailable economic, demographic, and public health microdata provided by the U.S. Census Bureau or one of more than 10 partner agencies including the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). For a complete list of partner agencies and available datasets, visit the Census Bureau webpage.
Data Available FSRDC
At Federal Statistical Research Data Centers (RDCs), qualified researchers can access restricted-use microdata from a variety of statistical agencies to address important research questions.
The RDCs house data from many federal and state agencies and are available to researchers for approved projects. Statistical agencies collaborate with the Census Bureau to provide microdata in the secure RDC environment. The following agencies contribute data directly to the RDCs and each has their own review and approval process. Explore the links below to learn more about the data each agency makes available and the process to access their data.
