The Guide offers an overview of the uniform law instruments in the area of international commercial contracts providing readers with an orientation to a range of legal issues relating to international commercial contract law, from choice of law to the legislative, contractual and guidance texts that may assist in a commercial transaction. The Guide deals specifically with the uniform texts prepared by the HCCH, UNCITRAL and UNIDROIT.The Guide is thus an effort to clarify the relationship among those uniform international legal texts and is a document prepared jointly by the three secretariats to promote uniformity, certainty and clarity in this area of the law.
